Coach Minnis is from the Kansas City Area and played baseball at Park Hill High School and Lawrence High School in Lawrence, Kansas. He was drafted in 2010 by the Atlanta Braves in the 33rd round but decided to play 3 years under Hall of Fame Coaches Gene Stephenson and Brent Kemnitz at Wichita State University. In 2013 he was drafted by the Houston Astros and played 4 1/2 seasons in the minor leagues, then retiring after reaching AAA and playing in the Arizona Fall League in 2016. His philosophy is that everyone is different. No one player is the same and every player should be coached differently. Albert uses what he learned at all levels of youth, high school, college, and professional baseball to teach young baseball players how to be the best they can be, regardless of their god given abilities. Sean grew up in Kansas city playing baseball, soccer, and bowling at very high levels. I attended Park Hill HS, Maple Woods CC, and MO State. I never lacked the drive or ability, just opportunity. Now i want to give as many kids, as many opportunities as I can. From teaching kids (Mr. Sean), to transporting kids (the young, cool bus driver), to having kids (coach Dad), and now have been coaching teams and individuals in baseball or soccer for the better part of 14 years, at all levels. I always knew that i was suppose to teach/coach. I love seeing players reach goals and have success and I take a lot of pride in pushing them through the grind of getting there.
