Community-based adaptive sports program for school-aged youth. Providing the opportunity to belong to a team and play sports, including baseball/softball, football, soccer, and field sports (track & field). This program is focused on building sport-specific skills, social skills, and having fun!
We are looking for volunteers who have experience in working with children with special needs.
Program Director
Jennifer grew up playing youth sports. She went on to compete at the Division 1 level at Wichita State University, where she was a 5x Missouri Valley Track and Field Champion and named to the 2011 USTFCCCA Division I All-Academic Track & Field Team. Jennifer has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s degree from Colorado State in Occupational Therapy. She has experience in collegiate and high school coaching and has dedicated her professional life to working with children as an Occupational Therapist. She has additional training in sensory integration therapy, pediatric motor development, and therapeutic intervention for children with vestibular dysfunction. Jennifer is also an ACE Certified Youth Fitness Specialist. Jennifer is passionate about giving youth an opportunity to develop fundamental skills necessary for participation in sports and athletic activities. She uses her background to create a nurturing and non-competitive environment to meet the needs of all children, regardless of their ability levels or backgrounds.
